RosTelecom launches Outpost Anti-Virus Service to 7.5 million subscribers


The leading provider of wired Internet access across the CIS doubles AV Service reach

Moscow — St. Petersburg, Russia — June 20, 2012. The Internet security experts at Agnitum are pleased to announce that JSC RosTelecom will make the Outpost Anti-Virus subscription service (Outpost AV Service) available to the over seven and half million subscribers to the company’s home Internet service in Russia. RosTelecom is the leading provider of wired Internet access across Russia and the CIS countries.
RosTelecom customers can subscribe to Agnitum’s PC security products through Zabava.ru, the ISP’s recently-launched portal for media and entertainment distribution.
Outpost AV ServiceThe Outpost AV Service is now available to 14 million Internet users in the former Soviet Union (up from nine million in April 2012). Agnitum’s service is now carried by 90+ ISPs in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, and the total number of active Outpost AV Service customers currently stands at more than 1% of the available user base (more than 140,000 customers).
The Outpost Anti-Virus Subscription Service is delivered via a SaaS (software-as-a-service) business model. The software is made available through the service provider’s website to their active end-user customers in the form of an installation package with the key paid on a regular (usually monthly) basis as part of their regular ISP bill.

Outpost AV Service is a monthly PC security subscription program available to customers of Internet Service Providers, Web Hosting Service Providers, Managed Service Providers and Managed Security Service Providers. The program delivers the proactive power of Outpost security for a monthly fee, paid as part of their normal telecommunications bill. Users decide which services to subscribe to from a "personal cabinet" provided by the service provider. Outpost Anti-Virus Service Subscription payments can be also integrated with the ISP tariff plans.
